A Network Built Right.
The First Time.

A poorly designed network is the root cause of more IT problems than most businesses realize — slow performance, dropped connections, security gaps, and VoIP quality issues all trace back to the foundation. AEH designs, installs, and manages business networks built to handle what your operation actually demands — from a single San Antonio office to large multi-building or rural ranch deployments.

What We Design & Build

Every Layer of Your
Network Infrastructure

Network infrastructure isn't one thing — it's a stack of interconnected layers that have to work together correctly. We design and deploy all of them.

🔥

Firewall & Perimeter Security

Your network perimeter is your first line of defense. We deploy and configure enterprise-grade firewall platforms with proper rule sets, intrusion detection, and ongoing management.

  • Next-generation firewall deployment and configuration
  • Intrusion detection and prevention (IDS/IPS)
  • VPN setup for remote workers and site-to-site
  • Firewall rule review and optimization
  • Ongoing management and firmware updates
🔀

Switching & VLAN Segmentation

Managed switches and proper VLAN design segment your network by function — keeping guest traffic, IoT devices, cameras, and business systems on separate logical networks for security and performance.

  • Managed switch deployment and configuration
  • VLAN design — staff, guest, IoT, VoIP, cameras
  • QoS configuration for voice and video traffic
  • Network documentation and diagram
  • PoE switching for IP cameras and phones
📡

Enterprise WiFi

Consumer routers aren't designed for business use — they can't handle the device density, don't support proper segmentation, and have no visibility or management capability. Enterprise WiFi does all of that correctly.

  • Site survey for coverage and channel planning
  • Access point placement and installation
  • Centralized cloud management and monitoring
  • Separate SSIDs for staff, guest, and IoT
  • Seamless roaming across multiple APs
🔌

Structured Cabling

Clean, properly labeled, documented cabling is the foundation everything else sits on. We install Cat6/Cat6A runs, patch panels, rack systems, and fiber where needed.

  • Cat6 / Cat6A Ethernet runs
  • Patch panel installation and documentation
  • Network rack design and installation
  • Fiber optic runs for long distances or inter-building
  • Cable testing and certification
🏢

Multi-Site & Branch Connectivity

Multiple locations need to communicate reliably and securely. We design site-to-site VPN and SD-WAN solutions that connect your offices as if they were on the same network.

  • Site-to-site VPN between locations
  • SD-WAN for multi-link reliability and failover
  • Centralized management across all sites
  • Consistent security policy across locations
  • WAN performance monitoring and optimization
🔍

Network Monitoring & Management

A network we build is a network we monitor. Ongoing management keeps your infrastructure running reliably — we catch failures before they affect your team.

  • 24/7 network device monitoring
  • Automatic alerts on device failure or degradation
  • Firmware and security patch management
  • Bandwidth monitoring and capacity planning
  • Monthly network health reports
A Specialty of Ours

Large Property & Rural
Network Coverage

Covering a ranch, farm, or large rural property with reliable WiFi and connectivity is a fundamentally different problem than wiring an office. It's something we've done extensively across the Texas Hill Country — and it requires specialized equipment and design thinking that most IT companies never deal with.

🌵 Hill Country Network Deployments

Whether you need WiFi coverage across a 500-acre ranch, connectivity between outbuildings, remote camera systems linked to a central NVR, or a proper internet-connected office in a rural property, we design solutions that work in environments where consumer equipment fails.

We've deployed long-range point-to-point wireless links, outdoor-rated access points, solar-powered remote nodes, and fiber runs between structures for clients across Bandera, Kerr, Medina, and surrounding Hill Country counties.

📡

Long-Range Wireless Links

Point-to-point and point-to-multipoint wireless bridges covering hundreds of acres — connecting buildings without trenching.

🌤️

Outdoor-Rated Access Points

IP67-rated weatherproof APs designed for Texas heat, humidity, and exposure — mounted on structures, barns, or poles.

🔋

Remote & Solar-Powered Nodes

WiFi and camera coverage in locations with no power — solar panel plus battery backup keeps remote nodes running independently.

🏚️

Inter-Building Fiber

Buried or aerial fiber runs between structures give reliable, interference-free gigabit connectivity across your property.

Structured Cabling

Clean Cabling Is Not
Optional Infrastructure

"Just patch it for now" is how server closets become nightmares. Properly installed and documented structured cabling reduces troubleshooting time, supports future growth, and avoids the costly re-runs that come from doing it wrong the first time.

1

Site Assessment & Design

We walk the space, identify run paths, count drops needed per area, and design the cabling layout before a single cable is pulled.

2

Cable Installation

Cat6 or Cat6A runs installed cleanly through walls, ceilings, and conduit — properly routed, separated from electrical, and protected where needed.

3

Patch Panel & Termination

All runs terminate at a properly organized patch panel in your network rack — every port labeled and documented.

4

Testing & Certification

Every run tested end-to-end with a cable certifier — we confirm each run meets Cat6 standards before we call it done.

5

Documentation Handoff

You receive a complete cabling document — every port number, run label, and destination — so anyone working on your network in the future knows exactly what goes where.

What Proper Cabling Includes

Common Questions

Network Infrastructure —
Straight Answers

Our WiFi is slow and drops out. Do we need a full overhaul?+
Not necessarily — but we need to assess before we can tell you what the actual problem is. Slow and unreliable WiFi has multiple possible causes: too few access points for the space, consumer-grade hardware not designed for business device density, channel interference from neighboring networks, improper placement, or the underlying internet connection being the bottleneck. We'll run a site survey, identify the root cause, and tell you the most cost-effective fix — which may be a targeted upgrade rather than a full replacement.
What brands of networking equipment do you work with?+
We work with several enterprise networking platforms depending on the client's environment, budget, and existing infrastructure. For most small and mid-size business deployments we're experienced with Ubiquiti UniFi, Cisco Meraki, Fortinet, and Sophos, among others. We're not tied to a single vendor — we'll recommend what makes the most sense for your specific situation and budget. We document everything regardless of platform so your network isn't dependent on any single vendor relationship.
How long does a network installation typically take?+
It varies significantly by scope. A WiFi upgrade for a single office can be done in a day. A full structured cabling project for a 5,000 sq ft office takes several days. A multi-building ranch deployment with wireless links and remote nodes typically runs one to two weeks depending on distances and complexity. We give you a specific timeline during the proposal stage after the site assessment — and we coordinate with you to minimize disruption to your operation.
Can you work with our existing equipment instead of replacing everything?+
Yes — we assess what's worth keeping and what needs to go. Some existing equipment can be reconfigured or integrated into a new design. Where equipment is end-of-life, unsupported, or creating security or performance problems, we'll tell you honestly and explain why. We won't push replacement for equipment that still has useful life and can be properly integrated.
Do you handle the ISP / internet connection side as well?+
We coordinate with ISPs but don't resell internet service directly. We'll advise on the right circuit type and speed for your environment, help you evaluate options from available providers in your area, and handle the handoff between the ISP's demarcation point and your internal network. For businesses that need redundant internet connections — either for failover or load balancing — we design and configure that as part of the network project.
