A Phone System That Works
Wherever You Do.

Traditional phone systems were built for an era when everyone worked from the same desk every day. Cloud-based VoIP gives San Antonio businesses a full-featured phone system that works from any device, any location — with better call quality, more features, and a fraction of the cost of legacy telecom.

Why Switch

Traditional Phone Systems
vs. Cloud VoIP

If your business is still on a legacy PBX or a traditional phone line, you're paying more than you should for less than you need. Here's the side-by-side reality.

❌ Traditional / Legacy PBX

  • High upfront hardware costs — PBX equipment is expensive to buy and replace
  • Expensive per-line monthly charges with your local carrier
  • Adding a new line requires a technician visit and more hardware
  • Remote and mobile workers get a different number — or nothing at all
  • Voicemail stuck on a box in a closet — no email delivery, no transcription
  • No visibility into call activity, hold times, or missed calls
  • Hardware ages out — repairs and replacement become recurring costs
  • Long-distance and toll charges add up fast

✅ AEH Cloud VoIP

  • No major hardware investment — softphones run on computers and mobile devices
  • Predictable low monthly per-user pricing — average 40–60% less than legacy, varies by environment
  • Add or remove lines instantly from a web portal — no technician needed
  • Same business number on desk phone, computer, or mobile — anywhere
  • Voicemail to email with transcription — never miss a message
  • Full call reporting — volume, hold times, missed calls, and more
  • No hardware to age out — the system updates automatically in the cloud
  • Unlimited calling to the US and Canada included in most plans

Who It's For

VoIP Works for Any
San Antonio Business

Whether you have two lines or two hundred, cloud VoIP scales with your business. Here's how different types of San Antonio businesses are using it.

🏗️

Construction & Field Service

Your team is never in one place. VoIP gives every field tech a business number on their phone — customers reach the business, not a personal cell — and calls route to whoever is available.

🏥

Medical & Healthcare Offices

HIPAA-compliant calling, after-hours routing to an answering service, and call recording for compliance. Patient calls always reach the right person — front desk, nurse line, or on-call staff.

⚖️

Legal & Professional Services

Direct dial numbers per attorney, sophisticated call routing, call recording for documentation, and a professional auto attendant — without a full-time receptionist on each line.

🏡

Real Estate & Property

Agents who work from the road get a business number on their phone. Calls to the main office route intelligently based on availability — no missed opportunity calls.

🚛

Transportation & Logistics

Dispatch, driver lines, and client-facing numbers all on one unified platform. Call recording for dispute resolution and compliance. Scales as your fleet grows.

🌾

Ranch & Rural Operations

Poor cell coverage at the ranch? VoIP over your internet connection gives you reliable calling without depending on spotty cellular — and a professional business identity for your operation.

How Your Team Connects

Works on Every Device
Your Team Already Uses

Cloud VoIP works with physical desk phones, computers, and mobile devices — or any combination. You choose what makes sense for each person on your team.

☎️

IP Desk Phones

Physical phones for front desk, reception, and office-based staff. Looks and feels like a traditional phone — works over your internet connection.

💻

Desktop Softphone

An app on your Windows or Mac computer. Headset-based calling — no desk phone hardware needed. Perfect for office workers already at a computer all day.

📱

Mobile App

Your business number on your iPhone or Android. Make and receive calls showing your business caller ID. Works over WiFi or cellular data.

🎧

Conference Room Phones

Speakerphone systems for conference rooms and meeting spaces. Full directional audio pickup — everyone in the room is heard clearly.

🔗

CRM & App Integration

Many VoIP systems integrate with CRM platforms — calls log automatically, caller info pops up on incoming calls, and click-to-dial from your contact database.

Implementation

Up and Running
Without the Disruption

Switching phone systems sounds disruptive — it doesn't have to be. We handle number porting, hardware setup, and team training so your business never misses a call during the transition.

1

Discovery & Design

We map your current call flow — who needs what, how calls should route, what your auto attendant should say, and which devices work best for each role.

2

Number Porting

Your existing business numbers transfer to the new system. We manage the porting process with your current carrier — your numbers never go dark.

3

System Configuration

Extensions, ring groups, auto attendant greetings, voicemail boxes, and call routing rules — all configured and tested before your team touches anything.

4

Device Deployment

Desk phones provisioned and delivered, softphone apps installed on computers and mobile devices, and all devices tested end-to-end before cutover.

5

Team Training & Cutover

We walk your team through the new system — how to transfer calls, check voicemail, use the mobile app — before flipping the switch. The cutover takes minutes.

Common Questions

VoIP —
Straight Answers

Can we keep our existing phone numbers?+
Yes — number porting is standard practice and we handle it end-to-end. Your existing business numbers transfer to the new VoIP system. The porting process typically takes 2–4 weeks depending on your current carrier. During that window we run both systems in parallel so there's no gap in service. Your customers dial the same number they always have — they'll never know anything changed on your end.
What happens to our calls if the internet goes down?+
We configure failover routing as part of every deployment. If your internet connection goes down, inbound calls automatically forward to a backup number — typically your mobile phones or an answering service. Outbound calls can continue from mobile apps using cellular data. For businesses where phone uptime is absolutely critical, we can also discuss a secondary internet connection as a failover — which we can help design and deploy as part of your network infrastructure.
Is VoIP call quality as good as a traditional phone?+
On a properly configured network with adequate bandwidth, HD VoIP call quality is noticeably better than traditional PSTN calls. The key is network quality — VoIP audio is sensitive to packet loss and jitter, which is why we always assess your network before deployment. If we identify quality risks, we address them first — typically with QoS (Quality of Service) configuration on your router to prioritize voice traffic. A poorly configured network gives poor results; a properly configured one gives excellent results.
Do we need to buy new phones?+
Not necessarily. Many existing IP desk phones are compatible with cloud VoIP systems and can be reprogrammed rather than replaced — we'll assess what you have. For users who primarily work on a computer, a headset and softphone app costs nothing in hardware. Where new desk phones are needed, we provision them as part of the deployment. We'll give you a clear picture of hardware requirements and costs before you commit to anything.
How does billing work — per line or per user?+
Most cloud VoIP platforms bill per user per month — each user gets their own extension, voicemail, and app access. This is typically much more cost-effective than per-line pricing on legacy systems, especially for businesses where not every employee is on the phone all day. We'll present a clear cost comparison between your current telecom spend and the VoIP equivalent during the consultation — so you see the savings before you make any decision.
